The valet person was outrageously and unprofessionally flirting with another patron. First, after checking in, we went to valet to pick up car to go up to Huntington Beach to meet some friend’s dear friends visiting there. The facility is beautiful as I expected, my disappointment comes from the way we were treated. I had stayed at the Montage in Hawaii, so needless to say, my expectations were high. On the suggestion of a friend and as an experienced professional event coordinator and operations manager of an established catering company, I decided to check out the Montage during a quick trip to Southern California with my daughters.

We literally turned around, walked out and left! Completely spoiled rotten! Not sure how to go back to real life! ) Highly impressed. The decor was modern/ trendy and felt like a casino in Las Vegas. The atmosphere was no where close to the classy montage. In fact, we drove to the near by Ritz Carlton for lunch. Montage is leaps and bounds better than any four seasons or ritz Carlton. Amazingly, very child friendly and as high end as everything is, it did not have a stuffy, pretentious feel you get from other 5 star resorts. Convenient steps leading to a wonderful beach. The pool with breathtaking views was gorgeous. The Beauty and setting of the entire resort was out standing! Classy, Tasteful, transitional decor. We were very familiar with the Montage Deer Valley property so we expected something extremely special! Much to my surprise, this property exceeded my already high expectations! The service is unsurpassed. We were there for a business conference with the family.
